3 Tips to Manage Your Busy Life
Between my internship, classes, homework, and organizations I am a part of, it is difficult finding some down-time. This past week, I was very stressed with piling assignments, laundry, and lack of sleep. That is why, I wanted to come up with a list of how to manage my busy life and fit in time for relaxation.
1. Write down to-do lists
This step seems so simple, but the effects are tremendous. Instead of worrying about if I am forgetting to do something, I write everything that needs to get done in the day/week and figure out when I will get everything done. I decide what is actually necessary to get done in the day and what to put off for another day.
2. Download the app Smiling Mind
I downloaded this meditation app over winter break and have only used it one time. However, I want to make a point to use it during the next few weeks. It only takes a few minutes of my time and is helpful in letting me stay in the moment and realize that everything will get done.
3. Set aside at least 30 minutes a day for YOU
Sometimes amidst the hustle and bustle of the day, it is hard to set aside time to do what I like to do. Whether it be coloring, reading a book/magazine, or catching up on a show, I want to put down my work and set aside time in the day for myself.
I'm hoping that by following these three steps, I will be able to have a more productive, less stressful week. What do you do to help manage your busy life?
