"Organize your life around your dreams and watch them come true." - Unknown.
I love being organized. It makes me feel very happy, accomplished, and productive. Creating to-do lists, planning out my goals, and picking out new stationary/planners is so much fun. As it's the beginning of 2017, I thought I would share some of my organization tips with you.
- Get a planner! You can either get a planner on your phone or on paper. My preference is paper, but if you're more of a digital person - go for it! Organization is different for every person. I think that a planner is the perfect space to plan out your goals for the year. Schedule your workouts, write your content calendar, and make time for fun adventures with the people you love.
- Use a notebook...or three. Like I said above, I love writing things down on paper. The stationary section at TJ Maxx, or any store for that matter, makes me very excited! I love seeing cute designs and different layouts for organizing my thoughts. I do keep a journal, I didn't write too much in it in 2016, but I hope to write more in 2017. I like to have a notebook for S'MOre Happiness content planning. Another notebook that I like to have is for random to-do lists and thoughts. I also like to have a notebook at work for to-do lists and meeting notes.
- Get a wall/desk calendar. It makes a huge difference being able to see your month at a glance in an easily accessible way. Plan big picture tasks and events on the calendar and you'll never miss a deadline again.
- Organize your computer. At work, I have organized my email and documents by client name. I break down the organization a bit more for documents and have it categorized into meeting notes, blog content, and any other category I deem necessary. What I'm trying to say is don't be afraid to create multiple folders within one file. It is easier to find something specific when it's in a specific file than trying to look through every single document or email. As for my personal computer, I categorize photos into albums and documents into files.
I'd love to hear if you implement any of these tips & how you organize your life!
