Life Six Months Post-Grad

It's been about six months since I graduated college. While I can't believe that 6 months have gone by so quickly, it feels as though college is farther away than just six months. The days seem to be going by a lot quicker and they all kind of mold into one. Some days I feel nostalgic towards college and remember the homesickness I once felt and how challenging the adjustment to living away from home was. Others, I am happy to be done with homework, tests, and projects. I enjoy not having any work to do on the weekends and just being able to unwind without feeling guilty for doing so!

I've been at my job for about three months now and spend my days writing blog content for a bunch of different companies. I want to optimize my nights and do more than watch TV or Netflix every night. I think that with every transition, there needs to be a period of adjustment. The first step towards adjusting to post-grad life for me was getting used to the 9-5 life.

Now that I am used to working 40 hour weeks, the next step is incorporating fun activities during the week and weekends. I really want to make fitness a priority and am looking into gym memberships at the moment. I want a gym that offers a variety of fun and challenging fitness classes. I also want to cook and eat healthier. I think that a big part of feeling energized is a combination of working out and having a healthy diet.

Now that I have a job, I want to treat myself sometimes.Whether it be planning a trip, getting a manicure once in a while, or buying a book, I want to reward myself. Post-grad life is a bit as I expected it to be, it hasn't been an easy adjustment, but I think that I am starting to enjoy this next stage in my life. There are a lot of exciting things that I want to do in the next couple months, so stay tuned for that :)

xo, SO
