Reflecting & Changing
As I was brushing my teeth the other night, this thought came crashing over me. I spent 4 years in college, learning, changing & growing. Do I remember what I was studying to get an A on an exam? Or the subject of the 15 page paper I had to write? Nope. I remember the challenges I overcame, the people I met, the laughs I shared, the dining hall food, the chatter from the café while studying upstairs in the library, the adventures I took, the walk from my dorm to class, relaxing after a long week.
I know that a lot of people are heading back to college in a few days/weeks or are already there now. For the first time, I will not be there, which is why I think I've been very reflective of my college experience. So I leave you with this advice: Enjoy every minute of college and don't stress too much about class, your workload, and getting an A. I'm not saying don't work hard, I learned a lot of valuable skills in college. However, don't focus so much on getting an A that you forget to truly live in the moment and take in everything that college brings.
Right now, I need to take my advice and enjoy post-grad life. Although I enjoy reflecting on my past & this time of year makes me extra sentimental, I have to look forward to all the wonderful opportunities and adventures that lie ahead. I am very grateful for my college experience because it shaped the person I am today. I know that I will continue growing & changing, so I am curious to see what my 23 or 24 year-old-self will think of me now.
I have some exciting news...I was recently offered a digital marketing job! :) I am very excited to learn more about my industry and get adjusted to that 9-5 life. Stay tuned for job related posts & tips in the coming months!
