And So the Adventure Begins...
For months I would wonder what graduation would be like. Would I feel different after it was over? Would everyone I invited have a good time? How would I feel receiving my diploma? Would the transition to post-graduate life be difficult?
To answer most of my questions, graduation was kind of emotional, extremely surreal, and went by so quickly. Throughout the day, I was having flashbacks to different moments in my college career. In a way, the day could be compared to the first day I moved to my college campus. Everyone gathered to help me start a new chapter in my life and on graduation they came to watch me start a new adventure.
Graduation started off with a communication studies departmental program. I sat next to classmates and listened to professors of mine talk about the class of 2016. As my name was called, I remember feeling like this is one of my final moments of my undergraduate career. In the days leading up to graduation, it didn't fully hit me. Once my name was called, that started to change.
After the first commencement ceremony, I was greeted by my family and we took a lot of pictures. Since there was a break between my first ceremony and the larger commencement, we all took a break to get some lunch. When both ceremonies finished, I remember feeling a flood of emotions. Happiness, relief, nervousness, and excitement to start the next adventure of my life.
I don't know what the future holds, but I am very excited to find out. This summer, I want to take some time to focus on creating quality blog posts and pictures. Congratulations to the class of 2016!
