Weekend Adventure: Boston, MA
Two weeks ago, my boyfriend and I road tripped to Boston, MA. It was his first time in Boston, but I've been there many times before. Fun fact, I was born in Boston and then moved away three weeks later. I have some family up there and my boyfriend's best friend lives in the area. We figured why not take a weekend adventure during the fall.
Whenever we go away, we bring the rain. Our drive up on Friday was rainy, but we enjoyed the beautiful foliage. To be honest, we don't mind the rain that much. Especially when we are driving. The sound is so peaceful and the foliage pops more with gray skies. We got into Massachusetts around 5 and went to my Godparents house for dinner and to catch up. It was so much fun! They told us that it hasn't rained that bad in a long time. Figures :P After dinner, we headed to my boyfriend's best friend's house. We caught up for a bit and went to sleep because we were so tired from the drive.
Saturday was filled with adventure, rain, and fun! We started the morning by making pancakes. Then we headed out into Cambridge. I've never been (my mom said that I've gone when I was younger, but I don't remember it) and we wanted to check out Harvard. We walked around a bit and when it started down pouring we headed to a GREAT place for lunch. Border Café was so yummy and the atmosphere was really fun. I definitely recommend it if you are going to be in Cambridge.
The rain cooled everything down and the T was taking forever to take us into Boston, so we decided to take the T back to the car and drive in. We walked around in the Boston Gardens and Newbury Street. I absolutely love Boston, it has to be my favorite city.
Despite the rain, we had so much fun and want to visit Boston again soon! :)
